The Well Reserve is designed for properties with a measured, reasonably stable low-yield well that produces approximately 2 gallons per minute or more but cannot provide enough instantaneous flow for normal household demand.

It gradually collects water from the well, stores it, and uses an integrated booster pump to supply the home at dependable pressure and flow.

The Well Reserve uses an owner-set collection rate. The setting is selected according to the well’s measured production and may need to be reviewed if well conditions change.

The Well Harvester provides more advanced automatic well management, including production-based operation, automatic over-pump protection, monitoring, and optimization as the well’s behavior changes.

The two systems also connect to the well differently. The Well Reserve keeps the existing well pressure tank in place, while the Well Harvester replaces the existing pressure tank as part of its well-control system.

The well’s sustainable production should first be measured. The incoming collection rate is then set below that measured production so the Well Reserve collects water gradually.

Because seasonal water levels and well performance can change, the setting should be reviewed if the well begins producing less water or operating differently.

The standard Well Reserve does not automatically measure, optimize, or adjust around changing well production. Proper protection begins with measuring the well and setting the collection rate below its sustainable production.

Optional dry-run protection can be added to help shut down the existing well pump if dry-running conditions are detected. This upgrade does not automatically adjust the collection rate.

No. Your existing well pump continues moving water from the well into the Well Reserve at the selected collection rate.

The Well Reserve’s integrated booster pump then draws water from storage and supplies the house with dependable pressure and flow.

Yes. The existing pressure tank that serves your well pump should remain installed with the Well Reserve. It continues to support the normal operation and cycling of the existing well pump as water is supplied to the system.

This is an important installation difference from the Well Harvester. The Well Harvester replaces the existing well pressure tank as part of its automated well-control configuration, while the Well Reserve does not.

The integrated booster pump is designed to provide approximately 60 PSI and up to 20 gallons per minute from the stored water.

Yes. The standard Well Reserve includes 215 gallons of storage. Each Additional Tank Kit increases the total storage capacity by another 215 gallons.

Additional storage may be useful for larger households, irrigation, higher peak demand, or wells that need more time to rebuild stored water.

Yes. Many Well Reserve installations can be completed by homeowners who are comfortable with plumbing, basic system setup, and following the installation instructions.

Professional help may still be appropriate when electrical work, well-pump wiring, code compliance, difficult plumbing, or optional pump-protection equipment is involved.

Filtration should be installed before the Well Reserve so the water entering the storage tank and system components has already passed through the filtration equipment.

This helps prevent sediment and other material from collecting inside the tank or interfering with the inlet controls, plumbing, or booster-pump system.

The specific filtration equipment and installation order should be selected according to the water-quality issue being treated, the required flow rate, and the pressure available from the existing well system.

Yes. The Well Reserve can be connected to a properly sized 120-volt generator to operate the booster pump and pressurize the home using water already stored in the tank.

The generator should provide at least the required operating wattage and enough surge capacity for booster-pump startup. The system uses approximately 1,200 watts while operating and approximately 2,250 watts during startup.

Generator size should also account for any other appliances or equipment connected at the same time.

The home can continue using the water already stored in the tank. Once that reserve is depleted, the well must resume supplying water before the tank can refill.

The Well Reserve stores and pressurizes available water, but it cannot create water or guarantee future well production.

The system should be installed upright on a stable, level surface in a location protected from freezing and weather.

The standard system is approximately 73 inches high, 26 inches wide, and 36 inches deep. Additional space should be provided for plumbing, electrical access, inspection, and service.

The installation area must also have room for the existing well pressure tank, filtration equipment, and the plumbing connections required between those components and the Well Reserve.

Yes. The Well Reserve includes a three-year limited warranty. Coverage applies to system components according to the warranty terms provided with the purchase.
