How much well production does the Well Reserve need?
The Well Reserve is generally best suited to stable, measured production of about 2 GPM or more. Its collection rate should be set below the well’s sustainable production—not the maximum short-term test rate.
What if my well output changes during the summer?
Seasonal changes generally favor the Well Harvester because it monitors conditions and adjusts automatically. A Well Reserve owner should review and reduce the collection setting when production falls.
Which system offers the most protection for my well pump?
Automatic over-pump protection is standard with the Well Harvester. Optional dry-run protection can be added to the Well Reserve, but it does not provide the same production-based automatic management.
Do both systems provide the same household pressure and flow?
Both systems are designed to supply dependable household pressure and flow from stored water, with up to 20 GPM and 60 PSI. Their primary difference is how water is collected from and managed at the well.
Does the Well Reserve require more homeowner involvement?
